COMMUNITY SERVICE

The Foundation is committed to providing tools and creating opportunities for ICC Members and ICCF Partners to connect to their constituencies and promote safe, resilient, and sustainable communities. Community service initiatives are a hallmark of the Foundation and are accomplished through an annual volunteer challenge, servicing of veterans, and ensuring the basic needs of safe shelter and clean water are available worldwide.

COVC

The Code Officials Volunteer CORPS program is designed to recognize, celebrate and support volunteer service by the members and staff of the International Code Council. The program launch included a volunteer service "challenge" of 250,000 hours of volunteerism starting on September 15, 2008 for the following months and ending on the commencement of the 2009 Annual Conference. Project HERO

Project H.E.R.O. (Homes Eliminated of Restrictions and Obstacles) is an innovative program with the goal to improve the lives of disabled veterans across the United States by combining the volunteer spirit and expertise of the International Code Council (ICC) and International Code Council Foundation (ICCF) with the home rehabilitation expertise of Rebuilding Together and its dedicated Veterans Services Department. The original project goal to make homes accessible, one veteran at a time, is still the overriding objective. Click here for more information.

Safe Water

The Foundation supports initiatives that address poor water quality and shortages to remote undeveloped regions around the world. The program addresses these issues through awareness, grants and advocacy. Click here for more information.
